Create a Comic Book
I especially love this one because it can be an ongoing project as you brainstorm and create the story. Plus, there are loads of ways to make it a collaborative project or an independent activity. Maybe you each draw a separate character in the story. Or you can work together to plan the characters and storyline then the kids can do the actual illustration (while you get some dishes done).
